2005 VROC World Reunion in Eureka Springs Arkansas
The 2005 Reunion was held once again in Eureka Springs Arkansas the following is a collection of pictures and comments. Please give plenty of time to load, there is a lot here.
The trip up was smooth as ever, I left Katy Tx. at 5am and arrived in Neosho Mo. just south of Joplin just before 5 pm having only made two short detours (wrong turns). Total time up was just under 12 hours and 617 miles. I spent the next 2 1/2 days with my good friend Bob and his wife Alice who own a great looking 85 GL1100 LE and a GL1500 Trike. We went to Lambert's for a short dinner run (160 miles) and had a good time. The food was great and the atmosphere untouchable. The following day I visited some cousins and Bob joined me for the ride to Eureka springs about 100 miles south. I spent the next few days hanging with new and old friends and riding the great roads of NW Arkansas. Saturday Morning after Breakfast with my new pal "Youngblood", and "Fergy" I headed for home. I planned to spend two days getting home but I made better time then I expected exploring some new roads and I made it home in about 13 hours, 800 miles. Total trip Mileage was 2229 miles in 5 Days.

This
is probably the straightest section of the "Pig Trail". As you can see it
doesn't last for long. The foliage is incredible.

The 2005 World Reunion Dinner Banquet and Awards Presentation Put on by VROC,ROK and Kawasaki. Great Food Great friends, fabulous prizes, and world class entertainment....Okay it was a great time. This year as in 2001 the event was held at the wonderful Crescent Hotel co MC'd by Eagle Rider and Skid with guest speakers, Sherm, Piper and the lady to honor, Thrillseeker. Sherm's message is worth mentioning here. He says, get out to as many events as you can and meet some people, become part of the family. It may take a bit of effort, introduce yourself, at each event you'll meet a handful and they will meet you. As you attend more and more events you'll meet more and more and become part of the family known as VROC. I'm proud to be one of a handful of VROC'ers that have attended every World Runion. |

The
Banquet was well attended as you can see by these two pictures, the room
was huge you can't tell that from these two pictures. |

RIDING AROUND As usual The riding in North West Arkansas was phenomenal, with some of the best weather I can remember in the area. Arkansas maintains it's roads very well, they are well marked, well paved and well enjoyed. |

The Remembrance Service first started by "Bucky" at V2K is organized to pay tribute to our fallen Brothers and Sisters. I try and never miss it.

VROC'ers
start to gather for the "Remembrance Service" to honor our fallen
brothers and sisters. |
|
Dino,
gives the morning sermon and delivers the "Remembrance" message as we
honor all those that have went before us. The names are listed one by one
including "Wolfman" Amazing Grace is sung by all in attendance the first
time for this ceremony, and I believe it will be a new tradition. |
|
Jim "Skid" Robinson, echoes all our thoughts as he says more then a few
kind words about "Wolfman" our latest fallen brother and VROC # 3 |

Plays Amazing Grace a yearly tribute to Honor our Brothers and Sisters.
Very touching as more then a few grown men held back tears triggered
by the sweet sounds that broke the silence that morning
reminding us of how life can be so short. |
